Sustainability

Sustainability

At Hotel Puchet, we are dedicated to evolving towards a more mindful tourism model. Our goal is simple: to minimize our environmental footprint and manage our island’s precious resources with the responsibility they deserve.

Guided by the UN 2030 Agenda’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we have integrated these global priorities into our daily operations, ensuring continuous improvement across all areas of the hotel.

We believe sustainability is a journey, not a destination—one that requires consistency and shared effort. We invite you to join us in this process. Every small gesture counts, and together, we can ensure your stay in Ibiza is both memorable and eco-conscious.

Our Commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Sustainability
SDG 4 – Quality Education We empower our staff through continuous training in sustainability and social responsibility, fostering a strong environmental culture across our entire organization.
Sustainability
SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation Water conservation is a core priority for us. We perform regular inspections of our facilities to ensure optimal performance and prevent any unnecessary waste. We operate our own water supply system through groundwater extraction, complemented by an on-site water treatment plant that guarantees high-quality drinking water. This system allows for autonomous resource management, conducted under strict control and responsible-use criteria to minimize our environmental impact. Furthermore, we utilize efficiency systems to ensure we consume only what is necessary, setting clear annual targets to continuously reduce our water footprint.
Sustainability
SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy We have installed photovoltaic solar panels that allow us to reduce our reliance on conventional energy sources, moving towards a cleaner and more efficient model.
Sustainability
SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities We promote a deep connection with Ibiza’s culture and heritage, encouraging our guests to explore their surroundings and respect local traditions. As a certified “Cycling Friendly” hotel, we actively promote cycle tourism as a sustainable and healthy way to discover the island.
Sustainability
SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production We manage our waste through rigorous separation and periodic weighing, allowing us to track exactly how much we generate and where we can improve. This data-driven approach ensures a real follow-up and moves us toward increasingly efficient management. In addition, we have implemented a comprehensive food waste reduction plan to monitor and minimize leftovers, fostering more responsible consumption across all areas of the hotel.
Sustainability
SDG 13 – Climate Action We are committed to reducing our energy consumption and progressively increasing our use of renewable energy sources. We have established concrete targets to decrease electricity usage and continue to work daily to ensure our environmental impact is consistently minimized.
General Objectives for 2028 [2024 Baseline] 10% reduction in carbon footprint per overnight stay. 10% reduction in water consumption. 20% reduction in food waste. Source separation of at least 70% of waste, including systematic weighing.

These advancements inspire us to keep pushing forward, reaffirming our commitment to a tourism model that is more responsible and respectful of our environment. It is a continuous process that we choose to build step-by-step, with consistency and a constant drive to improve every single day.
